Affiliations

The English Language Institute is a member of UCIEP (University and College Intensive English Programs), an organization that promotes quality and high professional standards among intensive English programs in the United States.  In addition, the ELI endorses the Core Standards for intensive English programs set by TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) and is a member of TESOL and NAFSA: Association of International Educators.

Accreditation

The English Language Institute at the University of Alabama is accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation for the period September 2002 through September 2007 and agrees to uphold the CEA Standards for English Language Programs and Institutions.
